My girlfriend bought ourselves a 100 gram bag of Kenko Matcha Green Tea Powder (Organic) from Amazon for us to try out. So we decided to put together a short video of the Matcha and putting together a very simple green tea latte.
I've always bought green tea lattes at Starbucks, but now, I can make a simple one at home and enjoy it anytime. What you see in the video is just a very simple prep, but you can find many other videos on youtube for other recipes that get more creative. I'm definitely going to be experimenting more in the coming days.
1 tsp. Matcha
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 tsp. Sugar (or 1-2 tbsp. homemade caramel)
2-3 tbsp. hot water (helps the Matcha and dry ingredients mix and dissolve better)
3/4 cup steamed and frothed milk (or heat milk in sauce pan and remove from heat before it boils, and then whisk fast in a bowl )
Combine dry ingredients together, add in the Vanilla Extract and the hot water together in a bowl and mix well so there are no clumps (I used a Matcha DNA frother, excuse the mess in the video LOL). Then steam and froth the milk. Put together in a glass/cup by putting in the Matcha mix, then pour in the steamed milk, and then adding the layer of froth on top. Sprinkle Matcha if you so desire. Enjoy.
